We have just launched a new website for Copperpot Originals, to showcase their beautiful products and to act as a portal for potential stockist and distributors. The site is a full CMS system, developed with our collaborative partners at Redfuse Internet enabling our client to upload new products, photographs and a blog ensuring that the site is kept fresh with minimum effort. New Packaging Design

Since the extremely successful launch of the new look Copperpot Originals packaging designed by us here at Collaborative Thought, demand for the product has increased dramatically around the world and so too is the product range.

We created the design a new packaging format for the range, enabling the brand to maximize it’s sales. The new carton features the same ‘seal device’ as the original tubs shown here to symbolize the product’s quality, authenticity and distinction.

The brand is going from strength to strength with very exciting new products / packaging in development that we are privileged to be involved with.

To add to this, the newly designed website is launching and the range is soon to be on the shelves on one of the UK’s top supermarkets this year! We couldn’t be happier with how the new look has developed and helped the brand reach it’s true potential. Happy faces all round.

Vintage Advertising Examples

Over the weekend we stopped by the Royal Cornwall Museum where there is currently an exhibition on vintage advertising. We absolutely loved it, and although there may have been a few dodgy strap lines and outrageous claims back in those days, you can’t help but admire the amount of time and effort that must have gone into producing each one of these adverts. Look closely and you can see the individual brush strokes made by the artist, which gives the adverts a beautiful & individual quality to them. In this digital age of pixels and precision ( which we do still love by the way ), it was really refreshing to see how it used to be done and has got us inspired greatly. Collaborative Thought; a fresh young creative design agency has announced their move to the brand new Tremough Innovation Centre in Penryn Cornwall to enable expansion and growth of the business.

The agency offers a full design service including corporate identity, printed literature, website design and packaging. Calling on their collective of carefully selected design partners they are able to offer a tailored solution for their client’s needs.

From starting the business 18 months ago, founder James Beresford explains the reasons for the move and plans for future growth.

” Moving into the TIC marks a very exciting time for the business and a big milestone in it’s story. Just 18 months ago I set up the company, established a strong portfolio and built up a diverse talented pool of collaborative partners. Now with the base that the new office provides, it enables us to work closer and more efficiently with our partners and clients – listening, consulting, collaborating and implementing ideas throughout the design process.”

Collaborative Thought also has plans to tap into the creative community that is on the doorstep and offer students learning opportunities that will help with their development into the commercial world of graphic design. James says,

” It’s extremely valuable experiencing work placements during university, so to be able to provide this opportunity for the undergraduates of Falmouth University, gives them a chance to learn about the industry first hand by assisting on live projects and understanding the workings of a design studio.”

County Confectionery Exhibition Stand Graphics

Check out the exhibiton stand graphics we designed for County Confectionery at the ISM. We stripped back the previous graphics and used high impact images to let the products do the talking. The company’s slogan “famous for Fudge, creative with Chocolate” was used to back up the imagery and we signed off each panel with a nice stamp graphic highlighting the rich family history and it’s award winning products. The new exhibiton stand graphics received great feedback and from looking at some of the pictures it looks like a good time was had by all ;-). We created the branding and packaging design for Copperpot Originals; a range of premium traditional confectionery from one of England’s finest family confectioners who are based in the picture postcard town of St Ives, Cornwall. We’re big fans of Steven Harrington’s work here, and so feeling pretty stoked that this awesome piece below is heading our way to decorate the walls. Unfortunately for us its not the signed original screen-printed version but still, it’s very cool.

Living and working from his studio in Los Angeles, CA, Mr Harrington has collaborated with brands such as Vans, Specialblend, Incase and The Critical Slide to name a few. If you’ve not seen or heard of him before you can check out his beautiful work here and brighten up your day. Enjoy
